Hi Lauren, The scene is an exposure nightmare as you recognized by making several exposures. The area outside the covered bridge was pretty bright. I applied Levels to the background to darken it while masking the inside of the bridge. I added some Brightness and Contrast inside the bridge. Your great model is perfect at the end of the 'tunel'. I think that concentrating all the lines and tones to reach that point helps the story. Karl |

Hi Hanoch, This image gives me more information and context than last month's. It has beautiful high key tones. It's certainly not a museum that I would pay to visit. Why do they need the security person? Is it to keep people from putting graffiti on the virgin walls? Which raises the question: Is graffiti art? Once again, you have raised many questions for the viewer to speculate. I'm tempted to drop in a person scribbling on a wall. Karl |

Hi Peter, This image brings the viewer's eye to so many places. First the face which is partly blurred. Then the color contrast bright green which is ??? The two cymbals are the biggest clue that this is scene of musicians. Also there is the fairly sharp blue jeans at the bottom that are not moving. Overall, it's an energetic image made up of bits of discernable interesting items in a musical theme. As you suggest, the viewer can read their own interpretation into it. Karl |

Hi Judith, The image is a good artistic use of a thermal camera. The color palette chosen gives vibrant contrast to this faceless portrait. Flowing composition adds a sense of movement. The pixelation from the sensor that is much lower in resolution (0.08 MP) than today's digital cameras (20-60 MP) adds a texture that makes the picture look like a print on fabric. Nicely original but probably not an image that a camera club judge would appreciate. But it is FUN! Karl |
