Hi Freddie, Great expression. Nice technique with the masking/extraction. Maybe the fellow is a bit too blue as his coat seems to have a blue cast also. Is it 'true blue' or a depressed blue? Since the blue color is added to a black faced monkey taking it out of nature, it has to be art. Grumpy may also work in monochrome as art, too. Karl |

Hi Chris, Underwater lighting is challenging. You used plenty of flash and did great post processing to make the anemone stand out nicely. Consider burning in some of the peripheral bright areas which can distract the viewer's eye from the subject. Karl |

Hi Hanoch, Before I read the explanation, I thought that all three cheetah were the same size. The two youngsters would make some great play pictures with a 400-500 mm lens. While I'm not a fan of 'butt shots' in nature, the animal on the right staring out at the vastness makes it seem even bigger. It's a visually pleasant moment. Karl |

Hi Peter, The image shows a good moment in nature and is nicely composed. The underexposed heron needed denoising before all the sharpening which just emphasized the noise. As a result, a lot of feather texture was lost. Karl |

Hi Judith, Let's examine intent. If it's to accurately show the Verbena buds, the image is partially successful. There is good detail and shading in the flower head. Consider moving about 80 degrees to the left which would have the leaves framing the flower head like up reaching hands. The background would be different. Even, overcast lighting saves this image from a blown out background. Karl |

Reproduction in this forum does show some artifacts that I should clean up. I wanted to keep the plant leaves in the image for completeness and to infer that it is really growing in the garden, not sitting for a studio portrait. I think with or without the leaves would be OK. Maybe just darkening them a bit. Karl |
