Hi Lauren, I'm not fond of the leaning over aspect so I made the orchid stand tall proudly. Starting from the original, in PS Elements I removed the orangish background clutter with content-aware fill and cloning. I filled the background with a partial green fill to compliment the flower color. Then I added a bit of contrast and saturation. Using color contrast is helpful in flower photography to create impact. Karl |

Hi Freddie, I find stage lighting problematic to deal with. This interpretation comes on a bit harsh in color contrast and loss of shadow detail. However, you remedied a dancer's greatest limitation, GRAVITY, by rotating the image. The female dancer really appears to be flying with the male as the propulsive force. Great interpretation. Karl |

Hi Heather, Wow! Great wallpaper. The rainbow of color and the up-down lines give a nice, peaceful wave impression. I think the best aspect of the image is the color variety which you did an excellent job visualizing and processing. The image may need a defined subject to be more competition worthy. Since the ICM image looks like colorful rain, I combined it with a model with umbrella image that I shot on a day with just a drizzle. I blended the model and ICM images on masked layers in Photoshop Elements. It's great fun. Thank you for a great image that instigates further creativity. Karl |

Hi Judith, Are you washing 2024 down the drain? The drain opening is identifiable but the drops at the top have been modified to the point of ambiguity, almost looking like an earring. The phone image does not have much dynamic range and becomes more graphic with limited tonality after processing. What would the image be like with a 0.5 to 2.0 second exposure to blur the water while retaining some sharpness in the hardware. The vertical borders & texture seem to make it an artistic wannabe. Are they really necessary or just part of having digital fun to keep from going crazy on a snowy day? Karl |
