Hi Lauren, Brilliant! The dahlia looks like a beautifully lit sculpture. Good focus stacking in this very clean looking image. Karl. |

Hi Gerard, Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) is popular these days and certainly fun to do. I like the movement part but prefer the brown/green colors of the original compared to the lower saturation and harder blacks of the processed version. Also, I might crop out the brown stumps at the bottom to leave just the flow of the trunks upward.
Other variations you could try are a double exposure of a still image with an ICM one, or a longer exposure via neutral density filter of 2-4 seconds in which the motion doesn't start until 0.5-1 second into the exposure, or zooming during the exposure. The possibilities are great. Have fun. Karl |

Hi Judith, This is a good photo illustration for Blue Moon. I suspected 'sun' when I first saw the image because of lack of detail on the circle. Several stops of underexposure would begin to show some detail/texture to the moon surface. With the better mirrorless camera's dynamic range, you can pull detail (branch & leaves) from the shadows. Hi Freddie, I love to see, as well as make, pareidolia images which seem to look like something but are really something else. I see feet here, maybe bird feet with claws. Great job taking a reasonably routine picture and converting it into something less obvious where imagination can play. It is a bit eerie. Karl |
