Hi Lauren, Beautiful job extracting from a background and adjusting reflections. One nit is that there appears to be a concave section removed from the top right of the lid making the lid unsymmetrical. The final image clearly shows the shape contours of the pitcher. No need for color since the image is all about tone and shape. It's a worthy interpretation of an old object shown to good advantage. Karl |

Hi Freddie, The low key tonality is ominous. When we look at an image containing a 'face', we always look for the eye to find the character or mood. Here, the eye is a blur contrasted to some sharper, clearer detail around it. There are various ways to interpret this eye. Did the photographer just get the focus wrong? Is the critter trying to be disguised? Is the eye moving fast in a still critter? Is the eye missing? The ambiguity is puzzling and may prevent a clear interpretation. Is it art or a mistake? Let the viewer decide. Karl |

Hi Gerard, Great color choices! While the overall view here is fine, I suggest a crop just below bear's arms. That view concentrates the eye on the bear's expression (surprise?) at the budding flowers and gives a clearer meaning for the image. Happy spring! Karl |

Hi Peter, Mirror imaged photos have a completely different meaning than the original. Part of that meaning is that a symmetry occurs that can often be 'seen' as a face. This image does that well. The familiar heart shape emphasizes the presentation. The tiny, flowery, lacy details add a feminine quality. This would be great on a Valentine card! Karl |

Hi Judith, The image gives unique perspective to a common tool of bygone years. I have one from my father, too. I didn't recognize it at first and thought it was an old, large-scale museum exhibit. I credit your growing ability to give flavor to images. In this case the perspective and motion blur add dynamic and kinetic qualities. Well done. Karl |
