Hi Lauren, I'm envious as I've wanted to try frozen bubbles but it's rarely cold enough here in Delaware/Pennsylvania. Nicely done. The bubble sphere seems to emerge from the icey surround. The color reflections counterpoint the white coldness well. How long do the color reflection last in the cold? My experience with bubbles in 70F indoors had the color dropping out in less than a minute. Karl |

Hi Freddie, Great graphic image! It appears both simple in the orange and white slabs and complex in the various roofline shadows and window at the same time. A beautiful collection of parallel and diagonal lines that allows the eye to roam among sharp details. A great color image at midday! Karl |

Hi Lynne, The final rendering reminds me of an old pressed flower in a botany archive. It looks flattened and the life juice gone leaving only a thin skeleton and colors. Ghostly. Extensive processing and even lighting sometimes make images look 2-dimensional with little depth. The colors are very pleasing and balanced, warm and cool. The peek into the center adds an interesting focal point for this flower proudly standing tall on its slender stem. Karl |

Hi Peter, The helicopter definitely balances the composition. I found a sinister quality in that one water spray seems to be extinguishing Liberty's torch. The reddish darkness seems to say we are in a fiery situation. Is this a statement on contemporary America? Great photo op. Wish I was there. Karl |

Hi Judith, I agree with Lauren about the swan. My interpretation was one of preening. When presented with somewhat abstract images like this, we mentally try to make sense of the picture by imagining these things that are suggestive, but not really there. The sharp foreground and unfocused background give a dimensional effect that is ofter missing in heavily processed images. Your beautifully colored interpretation of the leaves has resulted in an abstract art work that would be acceptable in any medium. Karl |

Hi Lauren, The dark area bothered me, too. I may try to 'polish' it. The monochrome version is dark, and heavy tarnish helps the impression of sinister reality and age. The monochrome forks are emerging from the black sand while the color ones simply come in from the sides of the picture. Karl |
