Hi Lauren, The lightbox has produced beautiful tonality. I like the image uncropped. In fact I would like to see the entire petals at left and bottom. My only other suggestion would be to remove (clone or smart fill) the brown spots on the leaves at right to complete the look of perfection. Very nice. It will make a great card image on gloss or matte paper. Karl |

Hi Freddie, Striking color works well in abstract images like this. The yellow-blue contrast amplifies the color. I chose to get more towards a compact design leading from the left. The downward angle lends a dynamic quality or a sinking ship. Karl |

Hi Peter, This is an interesting exercise in Photoshop tools. It's well done given the circumstances. It's interesting to note that while the water streams are motion blurred, some individual water drop splashes are crisper.
Did you try carefully handholding or bracing the camera at ISO 64? I have often been able to simulate a tripod with bracing the camera on something solid and letting the image stabilizer do its work. I make several attempts using careful breathing just to be sure. Also the Nikon Z cameras with in-body stabilization are even better for handholding.
That said, the exposure and composition are good. On my monitor the saturation and highlights on the rocks were high. I toned them down and flipped the image. Flipping made the color aspects seem more important whereas the original makes the water stand out. What a beautiful urban scene! Karl |

Hi Judith, This headless or faceless person is unsettling. It's amplified by the blur. At first I thought it might be a junk image, but with some thought the unsettling aspect gained meaning. PTSD is a spectrum disease and this image is on the spectrum. I hope you are mentally OK. Is the STOP sign a plea? Is our only effective communication via electronic devices that will fail without electricity? You have made a good thinking picture. Karl |

I have enjoyed reading how group members think the image could have been developed. Thank you for the comments. They help with knowing how others view the images. This image was just for fun. It's an attempt to include 3 Galapagos birds into a garden folly. What could be less meaningful in the grand scheme of life!
The more I shoot in color infrared, the more I think of it as just for fun illustrations. For 'serious' work, I plan to stick to pure monochrome infrared with a 720 nm or higher visible light cutoff. Karl |
