79 Aug 18 Reply For this particular IR camera, the image renders purplish in RGB color. That allows a little wiggle in adjusting tonality in Photoshop with a black & white conversion layer by adjusting the magenta and red sliders. Other than that, the image was cropped, dodged a bit around the girls, and lower corners 30% burned. Aug 20th
79 Aug 18 Reply The lighting was 'a gift from the sun'. The image was made in Hawaii. While I love continuous tone monochrome, there are situations like this where the sensor can't capture the entire dynamic range. I wanted to get some detail on the girls. One of my favorite parts of the image is the posing accident where there is similarity between an outstretched arm and the fallen branch on the left. Aug 20th
79 Aug 18 Comment Hi Anurada, Fine art is often in the viewer's interpretation. After a few moments I no longer see the image literally. Instead I see golden organ pipes in a dream. You can almost hear the sound. A thought would be to couple images like this with a soundtrack as Bruce Barnbaum did with his Tone Poems books. Aug 18th
79 Aug 18 Comment Hi Susan, It's a lovely portrait with beautiful tones on the person. For my eyes, I don't need as strong a background. Perhaps using a polarizer to reduce foliage reflections and then a touch of darkening and desaturation (30% ?) of the background. I tried the darkening and desaturation on the attached image.

79 Aug 18 Comment Hi Valerie, Is that an old Citroen? You have done a great job creating on old looking image with the car, worn paint, monochrome tone, dark sky and vignetting. I like it just as-is for the feeling, not perfect, but old, deserted and worn. Aug 18th
79 Aug 18 Comment Hi Mary, A terrific model with great 'bedroom eyes' expression and dress. The high heels vs old horse shoes is a nifty concept. The model's right arm and legs create a tangled look. Posing could help make that a cleaner message. Lovely Hollywood noir feeling as if it was from the 1930's. Aug 18th
79 Aug 18 Comment Hi Judy, I like the composition which helps give a dimensional quality. I might remove the disconected pieces in upper and lower right. You might also try a 'Firmani Flip' left-to-right. I agree with some of the sharpening comments offered by others but note that 'fine art' images are often not as precisely done as PSA salon competition images.

80 Aug 18 Comment Interesting and very asymmetric in terms of composition with all the dimensional parts on the extreme right. The asymmetry makes me a bit uneasy. Great color helps the dynamic quality. I liked the idea and 'moment'. Aug 19th
